Make lives better with Focus Birmingham
At Focus Birmingham, we support people with visual impairment and complex needs to live as independently as possible and enjoy fulfilling lives. As a Care Support Worker, you will play an important role in helping the people we support build confidence, develop skills and take part in everyday activities. This is a rewarding role where you can make a genuine difference, and no previous experience is needed as full training will be provided.
In this role, you will provide person-centred care and support tailored to each individual’s needs, preferences and goals. You will support people with daily living tasks such as cooking, shopping and maintaining their home, as well as assisting with personal care and medication where required. You will help people take part in meaningful activities, attend appointments and engage with their local community, encouraging independence and choice wherever possible.
You will work closely with colleagues to ensure high-quality support is provided at all times, following care plans and keeping clear and accurate records. Good communication and teamwork are important, as you will be part of a friendly and supportive team focused on achieving the best outcomes for the people we support.
We are looking for kind, reliable and positive people who are passionate about helping others. You should be willing to learn new skills, able to communicate clearly and comfortable using basic IT systems. You will need to be physically able to support people with mobility needs, including wheelchair users.
In return, Focus Birmingham offers full training, ongoing development opportunities and the chance to be part of a supportive team where your work truly matters.
If you want a role where you can help people embrace life and unlock their potential, we would love to hear from you.
